Movado’s signature Museum dial stands out beautifully against a background of polished stainless steel in this elegant women’s watch from Movado’s Amorosa collection. This watch features a round black dial with silver tone Dauphine hands and a concave dot marker at the twelve o’clock position. This is the minimalist look made famous for Movado by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. Horwitt intended his design to be evocative of a sun dial, with the dot representing the sun at high noon. The dial on this watch is framed by a perfectly round polished stainless steel bezel. It presents on a beautiful polished steel bangle bracelet that fastens with a jewelry clasp. This watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant to 100 feet, it can be worn while swimming or poolside diving, but it should not be worn while scuba diving.

Customer Review: Perfect watch for petite wrists!
I was a bit concerned about purchasing this watch after reading some reviews that indicated it did not work well for those with smaller wrists. As someone with very small (under 6″) wrists I can say that this watch fits me perfectly after having 4 links removed - this took under 15 minutes to do and cost less then $12 (CDN) at my local watch repair store. My previous watch was a Gucci 1500 petite model that was double the cost of this watch.and I think the Amorosa looks much nicer.

I like this product, it’s lightweight, easy to read, backlighting is cool. The only issue I had was that it didn’t come with any directions on how to set any of the modes. However, the watch was user friendly enough that I was able to figure most of them out.

Customer Review: can’t live without it!
I love this watch. I bought it a little less than a year ago and I wear it with every outfit I can get away with. I just went away for the weekend and left my watch in the hotel by mistake. My husband offered to get me another watch but I refused. I want my watch back and nothing else so I’m back here on amazon to buy it again!

This worked well and I now have two watch bands that fit properly instead of hanging off my wrist like some bangle

There’s a little jiggling necessary to line everything up correctly, and as long as you take care that the alignment is right before beginning to apply pressure by turning the screw, I don’t see any reason why this should not give years of use.

Customer Review: Easy and inexpensive tool
It is nice to be able to not have to run to the store to get the band adjusted. The screw mechanism gave me very fine control. Watch pins pop out without problem, but just far enough to remove easily. Why pay more? It just works.

Customer Review: Classy watch, great price
This watch has a really classy design. It is not overly dainty and I hope that means it will last a while. The watch itself is a bit thicker (sticks out about 1/4 in) than I imagined it to be. I found the previous poster’s suggestions on how to shorten the band very helpful, though it does take a bit of force to do it, and some specific types of tools (I didn’t have a small screwdriver and used a sturdy mechanical pencil tip instead). I do wish that there was a way to adjust for a 1/2 link size.

I wanted a stainless steel watch with a black face, and this one looked lovely for the price. My husband had a Casio many years ago that lasted just about forever, so I decided to give it a try. The watch is beautiful, and I’m glad I decided to buy it. It’s lovely and understated and is very attractive. I do have to get used to reading it where there are no numbers on the rectangular dial, but I’m sure I’ll be just fine! I would definitely recommend this watch at this price, although the band on mine seems to be shorter than other reviewers reported.
